I read recently in Ken Gott's book "Annointed or Annoying" (interesting
title) page 68 that 140,000 people are coming to Christ every 24 hours. One province in
China has 90% of the population now claiming Christ as Saviour. There are more people
TODAY coming to Christ than in any previous period of history - including the commencement
of the church in the Day of Pentecost. That's awesome.
I am aware these statements will do either of two things.
They will make us sceptical. You're exagerating using evangelastic language. Can we even
dare to believe that God is pouring out His Spirit. Last Sunday in Kong Lee's church in
Singapore over 700 people responded to the altar call to give their lives to Christ. Just
because we don't see it here doesn't mean it isn't happening.
The other thing these statements can do is to build our faith and encourage us in our
endeavours of winning souls to Christ. Each time a soul comes to Christ our cities become
one soul less dark. In other words our cities become lighter. After all we are the lights
of the world.
Don't wait to see to believe but believe to see.
Love you
