As you are aware, today is ANZAC Day. This is the first dawn Anzac Day parade and service that I have attended. Over previous years at the main service, I have been moved (emotionally speaking) with pride and honour for our soldiers (both men and women) who performed so brilliantly in the face of war. Australians have a courageous and brave history of overcoming enormous opposing odds. Our Anzacs were thrown into tough situations, used as shock troops and sent where no one else had successfully ventured before. They overcame, and established their ANZAC name. They were pioneers in a world looking to find itself again. We have them as our examples, our heroes, our fathers, brothers and sisters and our mates. First the natural and then the spiritual. There is a war going on in the realm of the spirit. A battle is going on in the name of the Lord. We can pull down enemy strong holds in the power of the name of Christ - the anointed of God. We can push the enemy back and release the captives from his dominion and control. We can stand strong and free through the blood that has forgiven and washed us clean and broken the bonds of control and defeat. Let us consider our Anzacs and appreciate their legacy bestowed upon us. May we in the same spirit, fight to bestow a spiritual legacy upon our children and their children turning our nations right way up for Christ and for them and seeing hell empty of its potential inmates.

Today, we are commissioning our baptism tank for the first time by water baptising two candidates - Lee Davies and Robin Butler. Let's believe it will get used heaps. Cara's dad from their church in Brisbane is joining us on the platform in playing guitar. We appreciate the addition to our music. How be it only for the day. Let us continue to pray for increase in our musicians and enhancement in our worship. The other Sunday our worship time lasted for nearly an hour about two thirds of the service. It's GREAT

Love you all

Garry
