It is really good to hear testimonies of the healing power of God. Today we have a
testimony from one of our congregation, Jean.
]September last year I was involved in a car accident which left me with broken ribs,
whip lash, pain and head trouble. The first few weeks I was unable to move around or lie
down, only sit on a chair packed with cushions day and night. When I managed to be able to
rest on a pillow, after 5 to 6 hours terrible banging in my head with excessive pain would
wake me. The only relief was to get up and try to move my head around to relieve the pain,
then I was able to rest on the pillow for 15 to 30 minutes before the pain would start
again.
As the months went by, I could only get about 1 hour on a pillow before banging and pain
started. I was in hospital twice, x-rays were taken, and all they said was pain tablets. I
tried other Doctors and all I got was pain tablets, which was not a lot of help.
By now I was desperate walking around for hours most nights and falling asleep if I sat
for long, which let my head, sag and caused more pain. I had prayed and asked God for help
and still prayed and went out on prayer lines. In God's Word, Luke 11:9 and Matthew 7:7 it
says knock and keep on knocking, ask and you will receive, this I had done.
4 weeks ago I went out on the prayer line when John Eastgate was here and asked and
believed again. That night I went to bed just like other nights and Praise God, it was
almost 5am before I woke and no pain or banging.
That was the first nights sleep in 7 months and my head is still healed.
God is true to His Word. 1Peter 5:7.
