Jesus said, "Go, into all the world and preach the Gospel". This statement
forms part of the discourse known as "The Great Commission". It combines with
"The Great Commandment", to love the Lord and one another, to form the
foundation stones of the Christian Church. In these days there is a fresh urgency and
renewal of the emphasis to see souls born into the kingdom of God. My personal belief is
that this work of reaching out to people, with a care for their eternal soul, is not just
for those enthusiastic, zealous people we call Evangelists. They may come into a church
reap a harvest and go again. Until next time what happens? Many still go to hell daily.
No! The task is for all the "so called" ordinary people who, with a testimony of
the saving grace of God, will boldly step forward and share their experiences with God to
others. People are hungry and they will get more so in days to come. It is not graduates
from Bible College that we need, (although it would be good to have them) but what we need
is people, who, with God will say "I have been 'born again' at this time of the
greatest harvest the world has ever seen. I have been saved to give what I have received
away. I'm looking for souls and ways to reach them. I'm praying for them but I'm going to
them as well. God give me souls. |
